Dublin Court hears cases in connection with riot

A Special sitting of Dublin District Court is continuing tonight to deal with those arrested in today's riot.

Gardaí say about half of the 41 people a rrested will be appearing before the court tonight.

Ten people have so far appeared at the Bridewell Dublin District court.

They range in age from 17 to 39 years.

Two men, one a juvenile, and two women hav e been charged with looting a shoe store on O'Connell Street.

A further six men, all with Dublin addresses, are charged with public order offences ranging from verbal abuse to endangering life.

All have been remanded in custody with consent to bail of up to €1,000.

They are due to appear before Cloverhill District Court throughout next week.

Further court appearances are expected tonight and tomorrow morning.
