Couple and baby girl escape injury in Derry gun attack

24/02/2006 - 12:08:21
A couple and their two-year-old baby daughter have escaped injury in a gun attack on their home in Derry last night.

Two shots were fired at the house in Bradley Park shortly after 11.30pm, one of which passed through the living-room window.

The masked gang behind the attack also tried to kick in doors at the front and rear of the house, but failed to gain entry.

The occupants were all upstairs at the time and were said to have been left shaken by the ordeal.

The motive for the attack is unclear, but the woman who lives in the house, a 22-year-old student, said she believed it was a case of mistaken identity.
