Brady scoops Connacht award
23/02/2006 - 09:54:50Ger Brady has been honoured for his role in guiding Mayo through to this Sunday's Connacht FBD League football final against Galway (Tuam Stadium, throw-in 2pm).
Bustling centre forward Brady, whose brothers David and Liam are also on the Mayo panel, has won the TF Royal Hotel Connacht GAA Writers' Personality of the Month award for January.
The 26-year-old was in outstanding form as Mickey Moran's Mayo side went unbeaten in January. Using all of his 6ft 1in frame as a target man, Brady scored a combined tally of 1-05 in the three wins over NUI Galway, Sligo IT and Roscommon.
