Walker back in action for Hammers
22/02/2006 - 13:12:29West Ham goalkeeper Jimmy Walker is set to make his long-awaited comeback from a serious knee problem.
Walker is poised to face Leicester tonight in a reserve-team fixture at Upton Park, starting a match for the first time since the Championship play-off final last May when he suffered a painful cruciate ligament injury.
Walker kept a clean sheet as Hammers beat Preston North End 1-0 to clinch promotion to the Premiership and after enduring months of gruelling rehabilitation, the 32-year-old has finally received the all-clear to resume playing.
