Huntingdon call inspection

22/02/2006 - 15:31:40
Officials at Huntingdon are confident tomorrow’s card will take place as planned despite calling a 7.30am precautionary inspection.

Clerk of the course Fiona Needham says the inspection has been called just to be on the safe side.

“It’s not a bad forecast and the worst I have heard is minus one, which we should be fine with,” said Needham.

“We are fine at the moment and I don’t foresee that we should have a problem in the morning.

“We’ve called the inspection because we’d look silly if it got colder and we weren’t due to inspect.

“It’s a very good card tomorrow so we hope racing goes ahead.”
