Research confirms unborn babies aware of outside world
20/02/2006 - 09:58:40New research from Pampers confirms previous studies that show unborn babies are actively learning about the outside world while in the womb.
Their study says that babies up to 25 weeks old can recognise their mother’s voice from inside the womb, as well as reacting to sound, taste and touch.
The report also reveals that newborn babies' strongest preference is for the human voice, especially their mother’s.
And for the first year of life, babies like nothing better than to watch and react to their own reflection in a mirror.
