U2 and Rolling Stones top musicians' rich list
20/02/2006 - 09:51:30The Rolling Stones and U2 have topped the Forbes rich list of bands and musicians.
U2's Vertigo Tour made almost €126m in America last year alone, while the Rolling Stones pulled in €141m from US gigs in 2005.
Money from merchandising and CD sales made extra for the ageing rockers, along with royalties.
U2 are ranked 10th on Ireland' s rich list.
