Garryowen secure tenth win of the season

Hooker Pat Humphries scored the only try of the game as Garryowen picked up their tenth win of the AIB League season by beating hosts Blackrock 10-3 at Stradbrook.
‘Rock managed to nullify the threat of the Limerick side’s pack in a dour first half that ended nil-all.
Garryowen fly half Conor Kilroy, a former Blackrock favourite, opened the scoring in the second half with a sweetly struck penalty. ‘Rock replied with a drop goal from Phil Caldwell, but only after Humphries, who came in for Damien Varley – a late call-up to the Munster bench today, had touched down from a concerted forward drive.
