Construction industry jobs up 2.9%
17/02/2006 - 11:24:59Employment in the construction industry increased by 2.9% in December compared to December 2004.
The monthly employment index increased from 99.6 in December 2004 to 102.5 in December 2005. The annual increase in employment was 3.9% for November 2005.
This series of monthly indices is based on trends shown by a monthly employment sample inquiry covering about 1,000 private building and construction firms with five or more people employed.
