Hoax bomb found under garda’s car
15/02/2006 - 12:10:50Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the discovery of a hoax bomb underneath a car belonging to a member of the Force.
The device was found under the car outside the garda's home in west Dublin at around 8.30am today.
A number of houses in the area were evacuated before bomb disposal experts declared the incident to be a hoax.
The garda whose car was targeted is believed to be attached to the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, which deals with organised crime.
