Offaly's Brady facing fitness test

09/02/2006 - 09:17:06
Offaly are sweating on the fitness of centre back Scott Brady for Sunday's NFL Division 1A clash with Mayo (throw-in 2.30pm).

The Clara clubman is due to undergo a fitness test in the next 48 hours to confirm his availability for the trip to Castlebar. Brady cried off the midlanders line-up against Cork last weekend due to a groin strain.

Offaly manager Kevin Kilmurray has named Brady in his side for the Mayo game, but should he miss out, James Rafferty, the man who deputised for Brady's in the win against Cork, will come in again.

Kilmurray will be looking for another impressive display from his new midfield pairing of Ross Connor and Alan McNamee, who hit four points between them against Cork.

OFFALY (NFL v Mayo): P Kelly; K Lynam, S Casey, B Mooney; N Coughlan, S Brady, N Grennan; R Connor, A McNamee; J Reynolds, C McManus, L Mooney; T Deehan, P Kellaghan, N McNamee.
