Explosion hits Iraqi minister's convoy in Baghdad
08/02/2006 - 07:59:43An explosion struck the convoy of Iraq’s higher education minister in Baghdad early today, wounding three bodyguards.
It was unclear if the minister, Shiite Sami al-Mudafar, was among the casualties, said an Interior Ministry official.
It was unclear whether the blast, which took place in Baghdad’s Karradah district, was due to a suicide attacker or a planted bomb.
