Pharmacists seek controls on paracetamol availability

The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland has called on the Government to introduce stricter controls on the availability of paracetamol and ibuprofen.

The two drugs are currently available over-the-counter in supermarkets and other retail outlets.

The PSI claims both have links to suicide and should only be dispensed on the advice of doctors of pharmacists.
