Eamon Casey expected back in Ireland today
04/02/2006 - 13:32:35Dr Eamon Casey is expected to arrive back in Ireland today after a self-imposed 14-year exile.
The arrival of the 78-year-old former Bishop of Galway will bring an end to an absence which began in May 1992, after he admitted having an affair with an American divorcee and fathering a child.
He is expected to meet gardaí upon his arrival to answer to allegations of abuse in England which were made against him last November.
During his time out of the country, Dr Casey has lived in the United States, Mexico, Ecuador and England.
