Dyer back for Pompey clash

03/02/2006 - 10:46:08
Caretaker boss Glenn Roeder has included midfielder Kieron Dyer in the Newcastle squad for tomorrow’s vital Barclays Premiership clash with Portsmouth.

The 27-year-old has not played for the club since appearing as a substitute in the 3-0 win at West Brom on October 30 because of hamstring and health problems.

Michael Owen (foot), Stephen Carr (hernia), Steven Taylor (shoulder), Craig Moore (hamstring) are all still missing while midfielder Amady Faye is away with Senegal.

Provisional squad: Given, Harper, Ramage, Babayaro, Elliott, Bramble, Boumsong, Parker, Solano, Emre, Luque, Clark, Dyer, N’Zogbia, Brittain, O’Brien, Shearer, Ameobi, Chopra.
