Doherty in action in Malta Cup quarter-finals

The Dubliner booked a place in the last-eight clash after beating Stuart Bingham 5-4 yesterday, while Maguire defeated Mark King 5-3.
Elsewhere, John Higgins set up a quarter-final meeting with Stephen Hendry after whitewashing Alan McManus despite suffering a bout of food poisoning.
