67% of companies 'do not know where business comes from'
Sixty seven percent of Irish businesses have revealed they do not know where their business comes from, according to a survey carried out by Microsoft Ireland into 800 Irish companies.
The survey also revealed the majority of Irish companies have no mechanism for recording, managing and analysing vital business information such as who their best customers are and where future business will be generated from.
The survey, published as part of a report, entitled Customer-Driven Productivity – A Study on Customer Relationship Management Practice in Ireland was launched today at the Sales Leaders’ Forum in Dublin and investigated the trends and practice of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) in Ireland.
Commenting on the report John McCormack, Chairman, Sales Institute of Ireland said: “In essence, the majority of Irish companies are flying blind if they are making decisions without this vital information.”
