Driving testers to be offered bonus to up workload

The Government is reportedly planning bonus payments of up to €20,000 for driving testers who increase their workloads in order to help clear the backlog of motorists waiting for tests.

Reports this morning said testers would be offered a €50 bonus for every extra test they carried out, subject to a maximum of eight per week.

The Government reportedly hopes the €2m initiative will see an extra 40,000 tests being carried out in the next 12 months.
