Lohan blow for Roscommon

31/01/2006 - 14:05:39
Roscommon will be without experienced forward Stephen Lohan for the initial stages of their Allianz NFL Division 2A campaign.

The 27-year-old Lohan is expected to be on the sidelines for up to six weeks after suffering a recurrence of a knee injury.

The Kilbride clubman was forced to sit out Roscommon's Connacht FBD League defeat by Mayo, two weeks ago, but showed good form in their previous win against NUI Galway, scoring 1-02 from his centre forward berth.

Roscommon manager John Maughan expects Lohan to return "in another five weeks", possibly for the westerners' Round Four date with Carlow on March 12.
