Di Canio hints at England return
31/01/2006 - 11:12:34Paolo Di Canio has refused to rule out the possibility of returning to England in the summer.
Di Canio has fallen out with Lazio as he feels the club did little to defend him after he was accused of making fascist gestures in the Serie A fixtures against Livorno and Juventus.
The 37-year-old told Rete Sole television station: “Going back to England isn’t such a remote possibility.
“Everyone knows the idea was to finish my career at Lazio. That was the reason I came back.
“But, unfortunately, it doesn’t just depend on me. It’s also up to the club.”
Di Canio moved to Scotland with Celtic in 1996 and had spells in England with Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham and Charlton before agreeing to join former club Lazio in 2004.
