Cork win McGrath Cup, Meath win O’Byrne final
29/01/2006 - 19:42:33Cork gained a small measure of revenge today beating Kerry 1-09 to 0-06 in the McGrath Cup final in Páirc Uí Rinn.
The match was a replay of last year’s All Ireland semi-final when the Kingdom demolished their Munster rivals by 1-19 to 0-09 points.
Meath won the O’Byrne Cup final by three goals – they beat Offaly by 3-14 to 0-14.
In the McKenna Cup in Ulster, Armagh played Tyrone in a replay of last year’s provincial final and the All-Ireland semi.
Tyrone again came out on top beating the Orchard County by 0-13 to 0-11.
