Franz Ferdinand: 'We'll never duet'

British rock act Franz Ferdinand have vowed never to do a rock 'n' roll collaboration, because they fear it would be too self-indulgent.

The Walk Away rockers are enamoured with their own sound, and hate the idea of losing their individuality in a rock duet.

Bassist Bob Hardy says: "There's so much more of a history of collaboration between electronic acts and it seems to work much better, but I think with guitar bands there's that tendency for it to end up looking like a mutual appreciation society."
