Hereford face Sunday inspection

Officials at Hereford have called a precautionary inspection for 8am on Sunday ahead of racing that afternoon.

Clerk of the course Gemma Charrington is, however, hopeful of racing taking place.

She said: “There is a slight threat of frost and we could get minus one or two. The forecast would only have to be slightly wrong for us to have a problem, but I am optimistic.

“We want to be on the safe side, which is why we have called a precautionary inspection.”
