Turner hails husband for support during illness
Actress Kathleen Turner is indebted to her husband Jay Weiss for the love and support he showered her with during her battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
The Romancing the Stone star, who was diagnosed with the crippling condition in 1995, insists her husband of 22 years JAY WEISS was so considerate he made helping her appear effortless.
She says: "Up until then, I had taken it for granted that people would find me attractive. When you are crippled, you don't feel sexy at all, and the arthritis did put a strain on my relationship with my husband.
"If I had to go out to dinner he would be wonderful because although I could sit down in a chair I couldn't get up again.
"He behaved like a real gentleman, acting as though he was helping me out of my seat, when actually, he was supporting my body completely."
