ISEQ in the black
27/01/2006 - 10:58:30The ISEQ index of Irish shares in enjoying a morning in the black today, up 70.16 points to 7561.37.
In the financials, there were 20c gains for Anglo Irish Bank and Bank of Ireland, now trading at €13.15 and €13.90 respectively.
AIB saw a 13c rise to €18.53. Irish Life and Permanent was level at €17.25.
Building materials group CRH saw a 39c surge to €26.19, while Grafton was up 19c to €9.75. Construction group McInerney was up 21c to €11.40, with Kingspan up 5c to €11.30.
In the Central Bank's first quarterly bulletin of 2006, it warned about the "worrying" trend upwards in house prices.
