Brown joins Carrickmore managerial merry-go-round

21/01/2006 - 00:06:15
Tyrone senior football champions Carrickmore have appointed Derry native Chris Brown as their seventh manager in as many seasons.

Brown succeeds Roger Keenan, who, having led Carrick to their second successive Tyrone title, was last month appointed Gaelic Football High Performance Manager at the Sports Institute of Northern Ireland.

Bellaghy man Brown previously managed Moortown to the Tyrone championship in 1992, and was also at the helm for the Derry minor team's All-Ireland success in 2002.

Current Mayo manager Mickey Moran and Sligo boss Dominic Corrigan have also been in charge of the 15-times Tyrone champions.
