Polls show increased support for Govt coalition
21/01/2006 - 10:58:51The Government has received a boost this morning, as the latest opinion polls show it to be the preferred choice of voters after the next general election.
A total of 39% of voters questioned by the TNS/MRBI poll, published in today’s Irish Times, want to see Fianna Fáil and the PDs return to office - an increase of eight points since a poll conducted in September.
A coalition of Fine Gael, Labour and the Greens wins the approval of 33% of people, a fall of three points on the last poll.
