Dr Eamonn Casey planning return to Ireland
21/01/2006 - 10:57:41The former Bishop of Galway Dr Eamonn Casey is reported to be returning to Ireland after a 14 year self-imposed exile.
He fled the country after it was revealed that he had fathered a child from a relationship while serving as bishop of Kerry in the early 1970's.
It is understood that Dr Casey, who is 78-years-old, will planning to retire to a rural diocese in south Galway.
