Gaynor's inter-county career at an end
Influential centre back Ciara Gaynor has decided to end her six-year involvement with the Tipperary senior camogie team.
Gaynor, who won five All-Ireland titles (1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004) with the Premier girls, has informed manager Paddy McCormack that she has played her last game for the county.
The 26-year-old, a daughter of former Tipperary hurling manager Len Gaynor, was voted Camogie Player of the Year in 2001 and claimed an All-Star award in the game's centenary year of 2004.
The Kilruane native, a Garda by profession, is as yet undecided as to his future involvement at club level. She transferred from Kilruane to Portroe last year.
She is following Tipp's longest serving player Deirdre Hughes into retirement - legendary full-forward Hughes, who was a member of the Camogie Team of the Century, announced her retirement in the aftermath of last season's All-Ireland final defeat by Cork.
