Investigation launched following discovery of human remains in Cork
19/01/2006 - 17:10:08Gardaí launched an investigation this afternoon following the discovery of human remains in a field in Co Cork.
The skull and bones were found by a farmer on his land in Tullig yesterday afternoon.
They have been removed to Cork University Hospital to be examined by Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster.
Gardaí are investigating the possibility that the remains are those of a man who went missing in the area around four years ago.
