Demon declared for Ludlow
11/01/2006 - 11:19:56Henrietta Knight’s Racing Demon continues his preparation for the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy when facing 10 rivals in the Concha Y Toro Wines Novices’ Chase at Ludlow tomorrow.
The six-year-old will be having his first outing since capturing the Grade Two Henry VIII Novices’ Chase at Sandown last month when beating Hoo La Baloo by four lengths.
Knight has bypassed other suitable options for her smart novice, who is as low as 5-1 for the Festival, with the insistence that jockey Timmy Murphy is on board.
The 2005 Royal & SunAlliance Hurdle runner-up faces some smart rivals, though, with Paul Nicholls’ useful Taranis in the line-up along with Martin Pipe’s Team Tassel.
