Ulster Bank abolishes regular fees on current accounts

Ulster Bank today announced a fee-free banking initiative that automatically applies to both new and existing personal customers.

With the new current account charging structure for personal customers, the overdraft facility set-up and renewal charges have been removed.

The new structure, which will be available from February 17, means account maintenance, laser/ATM, standing order, direct debits, cheque, branch/internet/phone transaction fees have all been abolished.

Charges for additional services still apply. Details of these will be posted to all existing customers before February 17, the bank said today.
