Blackburn take advantage of midweek break
31/12/2005 - 15:59:44Morten Gamst Pedersen scored his first goal for almost two months as Blackburn took full advantage of their midweek break.
There was only one team in the game at the JJB Stadium for the first half-hour as an unchanged Wigan side looked tired and jaded following their two matches earlier this week.
When Pedersen struck a thunderous volley into the roof of the net in the 15th minute, it was nothing more than Rovers deserved.
