This afternoon’s meeting at Huntingdon goes ahead after the track passed an inspection.

Although temperatures dropped below freezing overnight, clerk of the course Fiona Needham is satisfied with the condition of the track.

She said: “We dropped down to minus one overnight but only very briefly.

“We also had a light dusting of snow but nothing to cause any problems and racing goes ahead.”
