Post mortem takes place on Skibbereen body
27/12/2005 - 14:10:38A post mortem is underway on the body of a man found in a caravan in West Cork.
The body of the man was discovered shortly before 8pm yesterday.
Deputy State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster has arrived at the scene and is carrying out the examination.
The body was found after an ambulance was called to an area off the Marsh Road near Skibbereen.
It is understood that the man had sustained serious head injuries and it is hoped that the results of the post-mortem will establish the exact cause of death.
It is thought the man had been socialising with relatives in Drimoleague before returning to Skibbereen last night.
His wife and children are being comforted by friends in the town.
