Man killed in Fermanagh crash

A man was killed early today when a car crashed down a bank outside the village of Ederney, Co Fermanagh.

The 36-year-old victim, a front seat passenger, had to be cut free by firemen using hydraulipment.

The accident happened just outside the village on the Castlederg Road just after 12.30am.

Four women, two of them teenage girls, as well as a second man, the driver, were in the car at the time it hit a tree.

One of the women also had to be rescued and needed hospital treatment for leg injuries.
