Beaumont Hospital reports fall in waiting-list figures
22/12/2005 - 13:34:39Beaumont Hospital in Dublin has reportedly a 50% fall in the number of people waiting for in-patient treatment at its facilities last year.
The hospital said today that 1517 were on the waiting list in 2004, compared to 3,005 in 2003.
It said the reduction was due to a number of factors, including an increase in day procedures and a rise in the number of patients covered by the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
