Gidam takes Doncaster opener
19/12/2005 - 14:01:56Gidam Gidam benefited from a positive ride from Tom Siddall to take the Top Cat Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle at Doncaster.
Siddall kicked John Mackie’s charge on at the third flight and after seeing off a series of challengers in the straight, the 7-1 shot drew clear on the run-in to beat Daldini by three and a half lengths.
The winner, a moderate performer on the Flat, was confirming the promise he had shown when second at Market Rasen on his jumping debut 18 days ago.
