Birmingham recall Doyle
19/12/2005 - 13:38:52Birmingham have recalled goalkeeper Colin Doyle from his loan spell at Millwall and he is set to be on the substitute’s bench for Tuesday’s Carling Cup clash with Manchester United.
The Blues were granted dispensation by the Football League to allow 20-year-old Doyle to return early from a month-long loan period at the New Den.
Current number one Nico Vaesen is suspended against the Red Devils following his sending-off against Manchester City in Saturday’s 4-1 defeat.
Northern Ireland keeper Maik Taylor, who lost his place to Vaesen after a series of blunders, will be back between the posts for the quarter-final tie at St Andrews.
