Gardaí slam Govt's plan to establish reserve force
19/12/2005 - 07:26:46The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors have reportedly slammed the Government's plan to establish a reserve garda force.
Reports this morning said the association had described the plan as a "Mad Hatter scheme" that would result in confidential intelligence being leaked to subversives and criminals.
The AGSI also reportedly believes that full-time Gardaí will have to "babysit" reservists and clean up the mess when they botch arrests and other operations.
