Lennon honoured with talking doll
19/12/2005 - 09:23:53Legendary former Beatle John Lennon is to be honoured in the wake of the 25th anniversary of his death with a talking doll.
The Imagine hitmaker, who was shot dead outside his New York City apartment on 8 December 1980, will be replicated in a 46-centimetre (18-inch) action figure after his widow Yoko Ono sold the rights to his image to a toy manufacturer.
A spokesperson for the company said the figure would utter "authentic John Lennon phrases."
The bizarre plaything is set to hit shops next year.
