Teen's unlawful killing trial awaits pathology report

06/12/2005 - 12:01:02
The case of a teenage boy who is charged with killing a man in September has been adjourned pending a pathology report.

The boy, from Tallaght, Dublin, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had previously been charged with the unlawful killing of Mr James Burke, a 21-year-old Londoner, on September 23 last, at Quarryville in west Dublin.

Judge James Paul McDonnell heard yesterday that a pathology report is being sought by the DPP before he considers whether a more serious charge should be brought.

The court had recently heard that the DPP was considering a murder charge in the case.

The teen was remanded with consent to bail until January.
