ISEQ in negative territory.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares took the lead from London's FTSE and across the Atlantic, slipping 10.15 points to 6860.68 by the end of today's trading.

The financials enjoyed mixed fortunes today. AIB jumped 20c to €18.33 while Irish Life and Permanent fell by the exact same amount, slumping to €15.30.

Bank of Ireland rose 9c to €13.12 while Anglo Irish Bank fell 7c to €11.70.

Construction company CRH fell 23c to €22.45.

Dragon Oil fell 8c to €2.34.

Food company Greencore suffered one of today's heaviest losses, falling 14c to €3.35 - a drop of over 4%.
