Fatah suspends primary elections over fraud suspicion

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas today ordered his Fatah movement to suspend voting in a primary election because of suspicion of fraud.

Abbas’ order halts voting in Jerusalem and two West Bank towns this week.

Yesterday, primaries were cancelled in the Gaza Strip after gunmen stormed several polling stations.
