Owen remains sidelined
29/11/2005 - 10:52:13Newcastle striker Michael Owen is out of tomorrow night’s Carling Cup fourth round clash with Wigan.
The 25-year-old England international has failed to shake off the groin injury which kept him out of the Barclays Premiership defeats at Chelsea and Everton and will not be risked at the JJB Stadium.
Full-back Celestine Babayaro is also sidelined by a similar injury, while Kieron Dyer (illness), Stephen Carr (hernia), Steven Taylor (shoulder) and Craig Moore (hamstring) remain on the casualty list.
