BoI strengthens global markets team

Bank of Ireland has announced new teams and new international offices to further its aim of increasing domestic and international growth.

The moves include the opening of a new London treasury operation and recruitment of specialist teams, as well as targeting of the US market as a key driver of growth.

Chartered accountant Deirdre Flannery has been appointed head of global customer business while former group treasurer Peter Goshawk is new head of global markets (UK).

In addition, Tom Turney and Phil Smith join the UK team from HSBC’s trade finance business.
