Three die in separate road accidents in Galway and Laois
27/11/2005 - 10:08:57Two men have died following a road accident in Co Galway
The two pedestrians were killed after they were hit by a motorcycle on the Moycullen to Oughterard road, just before 3am.
The road is now closed and the scene has been preserved for a full technical examination.
The motorcyclist is being treated for minor injuries at University College Hospital in Galway.
In Co Laois, a 54-year-old male pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a car in Timahoe Village, Co Laois, last night.
The accident happened at around 10 pm.
Gardaí from Portlaoise attended the scene and the body of the deceased was removed to Portlaoise General Hospital.
