Limerick shooting victim won't assist investigation

It's understood the man who was shot in Limerick this morning is refusing to co-operate with investigators as well as medical treatment for his injuries.

The victim, thought to be in his 20s, was shot when he answered a knock on his door this morning.

Gardaí at Henry Street in Limerick believe this morning’s shooting could be part of an on-going gang feud.

The incident happened just before 2am when a lone gunman shot the victim in the chest when he answered a knock to his door.

Neighbours alerted the Gardaí after hearing gun shots.
