Bruce hoping Cunningham stays for further season
23/11/2005 - 11:25:03Birmingham manager Steve Bruce has revealed his desire to see former Ireland international Kenny Cunningham remain with the club for one more season.
The 34-year-old has yet to decide whether to retire at the end of this season or sign a new contract.
Cunningham has been central to maintaining Birmingham's place in the Premiership since his move from Wimbledon in the summer of 2002.
"He has given no indication over his future," Bruce said today, "but if anyone can go on, it is Kenny because he is in with the staff at 8.30am, preparing for training every morning.
"He is the ultimate professional."
