Teachers seek action to tackle text-message bullying

Primary school teachers are reportedly demanding action from mobile phone companies to tackle text-message bullying.

Reports this morning said the Irish National Teachers Organisation was claiming the issue was a major problem in schoolyards.

The reports said some students were bullying their fellow pupils by sending abusive and intimidating text messages to their mobile phones.

The INTO reportedly wants mobile phone firms to pay for an information campaign to highlight the issue.
